Pregnancy Skin Care For Treating Acne During Your Pregnancy!

Executive Summary By Karen A Graham

Are you one of the lucky women whose skin glows with pending motherhood? Or are you one of the unlucky ones who has constant pregnancy skin care problems? If you find yourself with acne – this being the number one skin problem in pregnancy according to Ellen Marmur, MD, chief of dermatologic and cosmetic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City – there are things that you can do.
You can’t just use any treatment to fight your acne, as you have to remember that certain products are harmful to the foetus.

An assistant clinical professor of dermatology and microbiology at NYU Medical Center in New York City, Sumayah Jamal, MD, PhD quite categorically says that any skin product that contains benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or any of the retinoids should be given a wide birth.

Jamal has some remedies that you can try which are not dangerous to your unborn baby and that is sulphur-based topical products with ingredients like glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acids or any at-home microdermabrasion treatment.

During your pregnancy you may not be able to use the same beauty or skin care products that you did before you became pregnant because hundreds of skin or beauty items are loaded with artificial chemicals.

So for your baby’s sake be very careful what you apply to your skin. It isn’t only the baby that could suffer from these products – some of the ingredients used in skin care are very toxic and have been related to cancer causing. So even after the birth think about your own health and choose your skin creams and lotions just as wisely.

Executive Summary By Marlene De Wilde

While it is common knowledge that most women suffer from morning sickness in the beginning of their pregnancy, it is not so well known that they can also suffer from nausea in late pregnancy as well. As a result, the uterus presses up against the stomach and the stomach has less room to expand. Heartburn with or without nausea is often the result.

As nausea is often felt after eating, it helps to eat smaller amounts more often rather than two or three bigger meals. This can also help if fluctuating hormones are responsible as queasiness is usually worse on an empty stomach.

The home remedies that work for first trimester nausea are also effective for third trimester morning sickness. Ginger, motion sickness bracelets, bland foods and preggie pops are popular therapies and you may find they work for you. Should you be worried about nausea in late pregnancy? All through your pregnancy, it’s important to drink lots of water but this is even more the case if you throw up regularly. If you become dehydrated in late pregnancy then this could cause serious problems such as premature labor, constipation, fatigue, cramps and swelling.

Teen Pregnancy Information And Facts

Executive Summary By Zhang Xiao Hong

There are many – some very serious issues involved with teenage pregnancy these days. Listed below are some of the many risks and complications that can occur as a result of teenage pregnancy.

Low Birth Weight – Teenagers are less likely to gain the extra weight they need during their pregnancy, leading to a low birth weight. Low birth weight, in turn, is associated with many and varied childhood disorders, and also has a high rate of infant mortality. If you are a pregnant teenager, it is very important that you make sure you gain adequate weight to avoid such health risks.

Premature Babies – Teenage mothers are far more likely to give birth to premature babies, which pose serious and sometimes fatal risks for the baby. Most commonly, premature babies are at a much higher risk than full term babies to develop bleeding in the brain, serious retinal problems, intestinal problems, and even sudden infant death syndrome, which is the unexpected and unexplainable death of a baby in their sleep.

Smoking and Pregnancy- However sad, teenage mothers are more likely to smoke than mother’s over the age of twenty five. Smoking dramatically increases the risk of a low birth weight in babies, which is discussed above. Also, smoking while pregnant highly increases a lot more pregnancy complications, premature birth, and giving birth to a stillborn baby to name but a few.

Prenatal Care Providers:

OB/GYN:

OB/GYNs are doctors who have specialized extensively in caring for pregnant women and all aspects of the female reproductive system. This professional actually has two specialties; obstetrics, caring for a pregnant women, and gynecology, caring for the female reproductive system. Most OB/GYNs deliver in a hospital setting exclusively.

Family Practitioner:

A family practitioner is the type of doctor people see routinely for any medical treatment they may need. A family practitioner had to take training and practical experience in childbirth in order to receive his credentials, and should be quite capable of handling a normal, low risk pregnancy. Most family practitioners prefer to deliver in a hospital setting as a precaution against possible complications.

Midwives:

Midwives are health-care professionals who have trained extensively in the birthing process. Nurse/midwives also have a nursing degree and are able to perform some medical procedures should the need arise. In the case of complications, a nurse/midwife can get instructions from a doctor and carry out his instructions. General midwives have no medical training except that associated with labor and delivery of a child. Midwives generally only care for low risk pregnancies.

Pregnancy – The Importance of Prenatal Care

Executive Summary By Howard Haines

Those emotions may include happiness, excitement, hope, as well as fear.

Those issues and concerns may include money, additional living space, healthcare, and needed baby supplies, like baby formula and diapers. The moment that you learn that you are pregnant, you should start taking steps to receive prenatal care.

A few of the many reasons why you should actively seek prenatal care, when pregnant, are outlined below.

What you need to know is that prenatal care is important to your babys health, as well as your health. Although a large focus will be placed on your baby and its development, prenatal care is also used to ensure that you are healthy as well. Knowing if your baby will have any medical conditions is important, as it can help you financially prepare for those complications and any life adjustments that need to be made.

The above mentioned reasons are just a few of the many reasons why it is important that you seek prenatal care when pregnant. In addition to monitoring your health and the healthy of your baby, you should also seek prenatal care as it is a fun, exciting, and an important experience. When attending your prenatal care appointments, whether you be seeing a family practice doctor, an OBGYN, or a midwife, you should be able to see a sonogram of your baby, as well as hear his or her heartbeat. Despite the importance of prenatal care, there are many pregnant women who do not seek it. This occurs for a number of different reasons; however, the most common reason is associated with money. If you are currently uninsured or if your health insurance doesn’t cover prenatal care, you may be concerned with the cost of it, as you should be.

Ovulation predictor kits are perfect for those couples who need a little help in the getting pregnant area.

Ovulation predictor kits are kits specifically designed to help you get pregnant. These kits work by letting you know when you are ovulating. When you are ovulating, it is the best time to have intercourse because your chances of getting pregnant have greatly increased. These kits work by testing your LH levels in your urine. Generally, your LH levels will increase right before you begin to ovulate. These ovulation predictor kits help you to better pinpoint your surge of LH levels, therefore giving you a more accurate estimate of when you will be ovulating. If you are a woman who has fertility issues, these kits can even tell you if you ovulate at all.

Not only does it help you pick the right choice, but you can usually buy the kits online at significant discounts.

A question you might have is when is the best time of day to use ovulation predictor kits? It is said that the best time of day to take the test is around 2 p.m., but any time between noon and 8 p.m. will work as well.

To conclude, if you are having trouble getting pregnant, then you should definitely give ovulation predictor kits a try.

Ovulation Predictor Kits – Find Your Window of Opportunity For Conception

Executive Summary By Lisa Simonelli Rennie

Determining when you ovulate is made easier with the use of ovulation predictor kits — or ‘OPK’s’ for short. Of course, ovulation is essential for conception to occur!

Ovulation occurs when a ripe egg is released. Using OPK’s helps to determine when ovulation will most likely occur during your cycle.

How Ovulation Predictor Kits Work

The egg is forced out of the fallopian tube with the assistance of a hormone, called luteinizing hormone (or LH). LH surges just before ovulation, and OPK’s detect this surge. Thus, if an LH surge is detected, ovulation will most likely occur within 12-36 hours.

Unlike charting your basal body temperature or cervical mucous, these kits PREDICT ovulation.

Tips On Using Ovulation Predictor Kits

– Test in the early afternoon – around 2pm is best. LH is usually produced in the morning, so you will be more likely to detect the LH surge in the afternoon;

– Start testing with ovulation predictor kits on approximately Day 8 of your cycle. If your cycle is short — such as 21 days — start testing around Day 5. This will minimize the risk of missing the surge of LH.

Don’t forget that once the LH surge is detected, ovulation will most likely occur within 12-36 hours.

Ovulation doesn’t necessarily happen every cycle.

Maximizing Chances of Conception With OPK’s

– If you start testing on Day 8, start having sex on Day 6 – a couple of days beforehand;

– Start having sex every day for 3 days straight days once the LH surge is detected.

If you have intercourse just before you ovulate, sperm will already be present in your body when the egg is released.Just thought you may be interested in reading this guide: pregnancy week.

Some parents like to become part of a social network where they can interact with people at the same place in life. Not every parent is fortunate enough to have a strong support system, however. And many people don’t have the time for weekly social outings, which often consist of the comparison game instead of getting answers and support for their concerns.

Many parents are hesitant to ask questions or share their concerns with people they see face-to-face on a regular basis. Yet during pregnancy and early parenting is when people really need emotional support and answers to their questions. An online forum is a great way to stay connected with other parents who are going through similar experiences.

Asking questions in an understanding environment is important to every parent. With an online forum, we realize there are many other parents facing the same issues as us. Creating a user account prevents a lot of useless information and unwanted posts from people who are just browsing the site. Having your own member account means you are committed to interacting with other members on the site and respect their input.

5 Common Early Pregnancy Questions Answered

By Sophia David

During the early stages of pregnancy, many women have many of the same questions. Here is a list of them with answers to help you understand these issues.

- Question: Is it possible for a woman to still have her period when she’s pregnant?

Answer: Not in the sense of a “normal” period. She might have a bit of unusual bleeding while pregnant, and some women think this is her period, since it often comes around the same time she would otherwise get her period. However, this bleeding should not be enough to fill tampons or pads during a period of a few days. If it is enough, this probably indicates you’re not pregnant.

- Question: What if I do have a heavy period, and yet have all the signs of being pregnant?

Answer: Then you should see a physician to find out what’s happening. Such a case might b caused by infection, an imbalance in hormones, even a miscarriage. Only a doctor can diagnose is for sure.

- Question: What if I start bleeding after I’ve had a positive test for pregnancy?

Answer: It’s not unusual for women to experience some bleeding or spotting during early pregnancy; about 25 to 30 percent do. As long as this is a light bleeding, don’t be overly concerned about it, as you will likely have a normal pregnancy and healthy child. However, around 50 percent of those who experience this light bleeding will then have heavier bleeding. This could ultimately lead to miscarriage.

If you notice that the bleeding is getting heavier, and you’re also experiencing painful cramping or back pain, you should call your doctor immediately. If, on the other hand, you experience only slight spotting, and it then goes away, just be sure to tell your physician at your next appointment, so they know what’s going on during your pregnancy.

- Question: What if, during my pregnancy, I experience some cramping?

Answer: It’s not uncommon for women to experiencing light cramping early during pregnancy. This resembles light menstrual cramps, and is usually a result of changes taking place in the uterus. Don’t let light cramping worry you over-much, but as with everything, share it with your health care provider the next time you see him / her.

- Question: I missed my period but had a negative pregnancy test. Does this indicate I’m not pregnant?

Answer: The negative test could indicate one of several things: You might not be pregnant, might have taken the test too soon, or you might have simply took it wrong (since these tests vary in sensitivity). If a test sits for too much time, the results you get will not be reliable. Be sure to follow the instructions contained with the kit.

The pain/reward of giving birth varies from person to person, but in most cases expectant women, especially when giving birth the first time, may want less pain in order to better enjoy the reward.

Both for mother and child low doses of anesthesia will reduce any problems that may occur during childbirth. Preparation with your partner well before the onset of labor is the first step. Lamaze or Bradley training is helpful, in order to learn good breathing and relaxation techniques. Some training involves learning focusing techniques. Focus techniques involve zeroing in on the need to push or the progress, rather than the discomfort. Train up to the day.

Physical comfort can be enhanced by a variety of methods. Hot or cold packs can ease cramping. Sipping warm tea or ice water is sometimes helpful. If general anesthesia has to be given, doctors will require minimal liquid intake beforehand. Anesthesia can produce nausea and vomiting. Some hospitals will use tubs of water or even showers to maximize physical and mental comfort during labor. Techniques like these don’t require any training or practice, just the ability to remember to use them when needed. A general pain medication can range from over-the-counter remedies to mild narcotics. It’s important to be able to focus and participate during the process, so doctors keep the dosage to a minimum whenever possible. Stronger narcotics to ease pain can be used if necessary.

Local anesthetic is no longer an automatic choice. Studies revolving around the neurological effects on the baby have made doctors and mothers very conservative. The drug is injected into a space at the base of the spinal column.

Getting Pregnant – The Best Options For Getting Pregnant!

Executive Summary By Abhishek Agarwal

Staying healthy and keeping the right weight, consuming balanced and nutritious food, and taking a pre pregnancy examination are very much required while taking the path to parenthood, however, on a lighter note, ascertaining the best positions for getting pregnant can just spice things up.

Now, the defect in this theory is that, a man has to have time enough to have his sperm count replenished. Well, it has now been confirmed for sure that having sex on alternate days when ovulating is a better option, and so we can study some of the more preferred positions for getting pregnant. However, it needs to be stressed that the best positions for getting pregnant have no scientific foundation.

Well, logical reasoning declares that many of the positions that initiate pregnancy are those, which facilitate gravity. It is for this very purpose that medical professionals suggest adopting the missionary position, where the man is on top. In all probability any position that is assumed can quite likely result in a woman getting pregnant.

In truth, dousing tends to throw the pH levels of the vagina and the sperm totally out of balance, making the sperm’s travel to its final destination extremely tough. Besides, the vaginal secretions that occur naturally and assist in the smooth passage of the sperm become diluted.

Even though no ideal positions for becoming pregnant exist, the use of logic and enforcing plenty of patience will go a long way to make certain that this effort pays off.

Executive Summary By Christopher John Bennett

You will experience stomach pains of different types. At times you might feel cramping of your stomach, sometimes mild nausea and diarrhea. The time too is never specific; you might experience pain early in the morning, late at night or several times in a day. Nothing is certain about pregnancy stomach pains, all you have to do is cope with it and try to adapt your body to the changes happening inside your body.

Pregnancy stomach pains are common and most women suffer them, once you visit your doctor he will give you some tips and effective ways to deal with the stomach pain. However by then the cramping and other pains in your stomach will increase. You can also change your diet or take some prescribed medicines advised by physician to treat these pains.

As time passes and your baby grows bigger inside the uterus, your uterus will automatically push itself and expand making more space for your babies development. The shrinking and straining of ligaments and muscles inside the stomach causes cramping inside your stomach and thus you experience stomach pains. The gas released from the stomach will make you feel relaxed and less chances of your stomach hurting. The moment you observe any new change in your body take good precautions and consult your doctor at the earliest.

How to Get Your Pre Pregnant Stomach Back

Executive Summary By Jake Devenz

For women that have been pregnant and worked hard to get their pre pregnant stomach back, they know that it is possible. For those women that are in their first pregnancy, most of them are unsure if they will ever get back to their pre pregnancy stomach.

The exercises she used to shed the pounds were a pretty wide variety. She did some running, cycling, and abdominal exercises.

Cycling is one of the best all around exercises and has one of the least amounts of stress on your joints of any exercise. If you feel you are able to take some cycling classes then I would suggest doing that. The reason I say cycling classes or suggest you cycle at the gym is because if you ride on the road it will be very bumpy and could be much more uncomfortable then riding on a steady exercise bike.

My wife’s biggest goal was to get her pre pregnancy stomach back. Her focused exercises for this were abdominal exercises. All though the running and cycling worked incredibly to help get her body back in shape it is the fine tuning of the abdominal exercises that will get you your stomach back. Some people say that nice abs start in the legs, so she focused on leg lifts and bends to work out her stomach and achieve her goals.

Find out what exercises you enjoy, then get out there and workout. There are tons of different abdominal work outs you can do. It is possible to lose that pregnancy weight and return to your pre pregnant body, you just have to work hard.

Most women undergo the procedure to lose post-partum weight, but there are many women who want to lose some extra fat before they ever become pregnant. For these women there are many questions, but for each question there are answers.

First of all, liposuction is a completely feasible weight-loss solution for women pre-pregnancy, as well as post-pregnancy. There is no reason why a woman cannot or should not have lipo if she intends on becoming pregnant in the future. The possibility of pregnancy does not disqualify a woman from being a good candidate. In fact, liposuction often works better on a woman before pregnancy, as the best candidates have good skin elasticity, which can be diminished by pregnancy. Women who want extra help losing post-pregnancy fat often must resort to abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, because of poor skin elasticity. Some women worry that pregnancy, with its dramatic body alteration, will negate their lipo results and it would be a waste of time and money to have the surgery if they plan on future pregnancy. Pregnancy does not affect liposuction results. The procedure removes fat cells, which once gone remain gone. Fat cells do not grow back, but merely expand during weight gain. After liposuction few new fat cells will develop unless a patient gains a significant amount of weight. Liposuction before pregnancy is absolutely possible and even beneficial. It has no bearing on a woman’s ability to have children, and in some ways pre-pregnancy is the best time to have lipo. Women considering this method of weight loss have no need to worry about it if future pregnancy is a possibility.

Progesterone Oil’s Value Both Before and After Pregnancy

Executive Summary By Reggie Andersen

Natural progesterone is secreted by the ovary, usually during the second week of the woman’s menstrual cycle. Progesterone oil is used by women mainly for replacement therapy during menopause. Sometimes this oil can be used by women for various other uses. Progesterone oil is also usable as therapy for Post Menstrual Syndrome. Additionally, the oil may be used by women experiencing infertility and in other cases a high loss of pregnancies. The main use for progesterone is to ensure that the uterine wall is stable. This is to avoid excessive bleeding during one’s menstrual cycle. Therefore, if it is administered regularly this oil will in essence prevent one from experiencing irregular and abnormally excessive bleeding during menstruation.

However, it is vitally important to carry out thorough research on progesterone oil to ensure that one is using it in a safe manner. For instance, if one administers a large amount of the oil at once, this might lead to estrogen primed endometrium. Additionally, in women that experience irritation of the uterus, which may lead to pre-term labor, high levels of progesterone in the system reduces these uterine contractions.

It is however important to note that progesterone in the system causes vaginal dryness. This is because, progesterone counter the effects of estrogen, which promotes lubrication. In addition, progesterone in the system may block or reduce significantly the occurrence of one’s menstrual cycle.

Pregnancy doesn’t have to be a frightening experience. One of the first month pregnancy symptoms is nausea or intermittent dizziness. A majority of pregnant women experience the so-called “morning sickness” which is characterized by a queasy feeling in the stomach often accompanied by vomiting. This first month pregnancy symptom can be neutralized by sucking sour candy or sniffing smelling salts or ammonia. Nausea can be triggered by various smells which are unpleasant for the pregnant woman. Mild headaches can be relieved by drinking cold water. Morning sickness last until around your third month of pregnancy until it disappears completely. Most first month pregnancy symptoms are brought about by the hormonal changes that simultaneously happen due to your delicate condition.

Having tender breasts, or experiencing soreness and heaviness, is another first month pregnancy symptom, as is experiencing pain in the lower part of your abdomen. These symptoms, though, are also present during PMS, so many pregnant women confuse them as signs of an upcoming menstrual period.

Mood swings are also common first month pregnancy symptoms [http://www.pregnancyhelpblog.com/category/pregnancy-development]. In terms of weight, not all women experience an increase in girth around the midsection. A few, in fact, even lose weight – probably because another first month pregnancy symptom is loss of appetite.

You can always consult a doctor if it becomes unbearable.

During the first month you will feel exhausted as the body experiences a good number of metabolic changes.
Summary By Popsrisuk Posak

A pregnancy ultrasound is one of the most basic tests that are conducted after initial confirmation of the pregnancy. An ultrasound is conducted at normal intervals for determining the position and growth of the baby. It is generally utilized by the doctors for getting an accurate picture of a mother’s pregnancy. Use of 3D pregnancy ultrasound is an extremely useful tool for diagnosis of the fetus in the mother’s womb. In some of the countries, a routine ultrasound scanning is performed for identifying the potential defects of the baby before birth.

Researches have indicated that ultrasound scanning is extremely safe for an unborn child while other methods such as radiography are harmful for the fetus as it uses ionizing radiation. Sound waves of very high frequency between 3.5 – 7.0 MHz are normally used in this procedure. How an ultrasound is done?
The recurring beams of the ultrasound scan the baby and go back to the transducer. The data obtained from the different reflections recomposes in the form of a picture on display screen. 3D pregnancy ultrasound can also be helpful in identifying any structural abnormalities of the fetus.

Is it safe?
Ultrasound of the full bladder is necessary when scanning of the abdomen is performance at an early stage of pregnancy. A pregnancy ultrasound is helpful for determining the exact age of the fetus and its status of development in various stages. The ultrasound can reveal if there is more than one fetus, whether there are any problems with the fetus or the placenta’s position is accurate or not. Any problem with uterus or any abnormality during pregnancy can be revealed through a pregnancy ultrasound.

An ultrasound is basically understanding the sound waves in order to form a unique picture of the little fetus. The images that are produced due to this ultrasound are remarkably clear. The couple can view the pictures of their baby through the live video of the womb and the fetus.

The 4D ultrasound also means that the life-like images of the fetus can be easily viewed in real time in order to see and study the various activities of the little baby inside the mother’s womb. There are a large number of benefits that this 4D pregnancy ultrasound provides.
