A man’s sperm contains chromosomes (X and Y) that will, depending on which fertilizes the egg first, result in having either a girl or boy baby. The girl sperm is very hardy, strong, and can last for days in the vaginal tract.

The boy sperm is lightning fast, but also weak, crashing and burning in a very short amount of time and unable to withstand a hostile environment.

If this were a fairy tale with the egg (and fertilizing it) being the finish line, the girl sperm would be the tortoise and the boy sperm would be the hare. Because we know that the boy sperm can not live very long while the girl sperm can.

The girl sperm can just wait it out while a good deal of the boy sperm are going to die off during this long period of time. Next, you need to create a vaginal environment that will be hostile or non conducive to the boy sperm. This means you need a high vaginal PH. (This sounds cruel and awful doesn’t it? You can learn what yours is by using PH vaginal testing strips, available at health food stores. It’s also very inexpensive (unless you buy yours at a pricey gender selection clinic. I do realize that a good bit of women are opposed to douching. If you are, you can achieve the acidity and PH that will help you have a daughter by going on a special diet and eating acidic foods and avoiding the foods that are neutral or alkaline.

This gives the weak and fast moving boy sperm further to travel to the finish line, knowing that the good ole reliable girl sperm is going to slowly make it there just fine.

Find whatever method works best for you. I never had any repeat success using the basal temperature or cervical mucus methods. Instead, I used saliva ovulation predictors and found them very effective.

Know Exactly When You Ovulate Without Relying On A Calendar Or Guessing: Since the sperm that produces a baby girl can survive much longer (up to four days) than the sperm that will produce a boy, you should conceive 3 days before you ovulate and then stop trying.

A more accurate and easy way to know when you should conceive is by using an ovulation predictor kit. Of these, I prefer saliva ovulation predictors as you aren’t forced to use first morning urine.

Use Sexual Positions That Favor Conceiving A Girl: It’s pretty common knowledge that different intercourse positions will favor getting a boy or a girl, but do you know why? This gives those little guys a long, hard trip.

Creating A High Enough PH / A Hostile Environment To Conceive A Girl: It’s pretty well known that a high PH / acidic vaginal environment favors conceiving a baby girl because the boy sperm just can not survive in this harsh environment for very long.

You can get this high PH by eating acidic foods (and avoiding alkaline ones) and by douching with specific solutions. Using both methods will help you achieve this goal much faster, but you can get a “girl friendly PH” just using foods if you’re willing to be diligent about it and can have a bit more patience.
